Those that know Andy, know him as a fun loving, passionate guy. He is very thankful for his family, friends and the health of his family and friends. Andy often donates to The Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy and The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Andy has been blessed to have two great parents, Lloyd & Fran Shawcroft. Andy was raised on a racetrack as his Dad trained racehorses. He is very thankful for the work ethic his Dad and upbringing taught him. “Those horses didn’t care if was your birthday, Christmas, a blizzard. They needed attention every day. You never thought anything about it. You just did what needed to be done.”
Andy was also a long time football coach for Palmer, Coronado, and Ellicott high schools, as well as the Colorado Springs semi-pro teams, the Generals and the Flames. Andy has not coached in a few years committing more time to his real estate business. Not to say he wouldn’t do it again. There is nothing like fifty people working together for a common goal, winning championships.
One of Andy's passions is golf. As long as he has been golfing, you would think he would be better. He is a little like Charles Barkley, not very good, yet has a great time. He tries to get out on Sunday with his many friends (or suspects) and chase the little white ball through the ruff. Andy will often say, “There is more than one way to make par”.
Andy is also proud of his 1967 Firebird convertible. With a beefy Pontiac 400 pushing 425 horsepower, this hot rod can really scoot. Andy will often take his car shows. Enjoying time with friends and hot rods, it can’t get much better.
Andy is also thankful for his hundreds of customer and clients. Eighty-five percent of his business comes by the way of repeat customers, personal referrals, and people that know him personally.
